SJ advances global sustainability impact with leadership appointment to WorldGBC Board

Singapore, 2 July 2026 – SJ Group is strengthening its role in delivering global climate and sustainability outcomes in the built environment with its first leadership appointment to the Board of Directors of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC). Farah Naz, SJ’s Global Climate Advisory Director, has been elected to the Board.  WorldGBC is a global network working with industry and governments to advance a more sustainable and resilient built environment. 

The appointment strengthens SJ Group’s engagement with global industry platforms and reinforces its role in supporting clients to navigate evolving climate and sustainability requirements, from advisory through to implementation. 

With cities and communities under increasing pressure to move from climate ambition to implementation, addressing this gap requires governance frameworks, investment-ready project pipelines and the ability to translate strategy into bankable, implementable solutions. 

Farah brings 25 years of international experience across four continents, spanning the UK, US, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. At SJ, her work covers decarbonisation and climate resilience projects from buildings to large-scale urban developments, with a focus on helping governments, cities, developers and investors embed climate action into infrastructure, masterplans and investment portfolios.

Farah joins Mr Hugh Lim who has been re-elected for a new term as a member of the WorldGBC Board. Their appointments reflect the increasing prominence of Singapore in global climate and sustainability leadership.
