SJ Integrated Solutions and dConstruct Robotics Advance Autonomous Security
The collaboration will bring together advanced mobile robots, AI-enabled integrated operations platform, and frontline operational expertise to enable faster incident verification, support coordinated response and achieve measurable security outcomes.
SJ Integrated Solutions (“SJ-IS”), part of SJ Group, is advancing its autonomous security capabilities through a teaming agreement entered into by AETOS Holdings (“AETOS”), its security business, and Singapore-based AI and robotics company, dConstruct Robotics (“dConstruct”). Under the agreement, both parties will jointly develop, validate and deploy autonomous security services. The first phase is expected to commence at an operational site in Singapore in Q1 2027.
The collaboration forms part of SJ-IS’ broader approach to robotics, focused on establishing a robust security ecosystem with reliable technology partners, co-developing robotics and autonomous solutions that are secure, trusted and scalable in diverse operating environments.
The initiative further supports Singapore’s shift towards outcome-based security contracting and growing client expectations for performance to be assessed against defined security outcomes rather than prescribed headcount. AETOS and dConstruct will examine how autonomous robotics can support round-the-clock monitoring and patrol, enable earlier anomaly detection, faster verification of incidents, and empower security teams to make informed decisions in dynamic frontline situations.
By connecting mobile sensing and AI-assisted analytics with established security workflows, the model will support the full operating chain, from detection and verification to escalation and coordinated human response.
“Our approach is AI-first and data-driven, with cybersecurity, data governance and clear operational accountability designed in from the outset. That is why we select partners for the complementary, proven capabilities they bring,” said Mr Alfred Fox, Chief Executive, Integrated Solutions, SJ Group. “By combining dConstruct’s AI robotics expertise, SJ’s 24k digital platform intelligence, and AETOS’s frontline operational experience, we are co-developing trusted, reliable solutions that are scalable across sites. Added to Boston Dynamics’s advanced SPOT platform, this is operational cognition in practice, turning real-time conditions into coordinated action to improve security, asset performance and the human experience, while advancing cognitive cities that can sense, anticipate, respond and continuously improve.”
Under the proposed concept of operations, robots can undertake scheduled patrols or be dispatched to gather additional information when an alert is triggered. Initial missions are expected to include after-hours perimeter patrols, car parks and common areas, routine checks of plant rooms and utility areas, and rapid verification of alarms. Depending on the site and mission, the robots may be equipped with cameras, LiDAR, and where required, thermal imaging, acoustic or environmental sensors to navigate, capture site conditions and identify defined events or anomalies. AETOS operators will then assess this intelligence within established security processes and deploy the appropriate response.
At the core of the autonomous security operations is 24K, SJ’s AI-enabled digital intelligence platform, on which AETOS’s Aquila-X integrated operations platform is built. Aquila-X will serve as the central command and control environment for the service, while dConstruct’s d.ASH platform will manage robot missions, fleet status and sensor data. The joint development will extend beyond systems integration to include mission logic, event definitions, detection parameters, AI-assisted analytics, operator workflows and response protocols. By coupling physical AI in the field with 24K’s digital intelligence, the solution will provide the context and coordination required to turn real-time conditions into informed operational action.
“Autonomous robot fleets have the potential to transform security operations by expanding coverage, enhancing threat detection, and enabling more targeted responses. Through our strategic collaboration with AETOS, we are bringing together complementary strengths and expertise to jointly deploy and scale innovative security solutions that deliver measurable outcomes across multiple sites and geographies,” said Chinn Lim, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, dConstruct Robotics.
Founded in Singapore in 2021, dConstruct has tested and deployed autonomous systems for applications including rail maintenance, municipal estate inspection and infrastructure scanning. Its experience in autonomous robot mission control and multi-sensor integration will support the development of repeatable security applications under the collaboration.
Boston Dynamics’ Spot® will serve as the primary robotic platform across the sites. Both partners will also evaluate complementary robotic platforms according to each site’s operating environment, mission and desired outcomes.
During the first phase, the partners will assess performance against measures such as patrol coverage and completion, system availability, alert-to-verification time, false alarm rates and response time. Findings will be used to refine robot missions, detection parameters and operating procedures before wider deployment.
Following validation in Singapore, AETOS and dConstruct will explore suitable deployments across airports, ports, transport infrastructure, data centres, industrial facilities and other critical sites as part of SJ-IS’s broader autonomous-operations strategy. The partners will also assess opportunities to adapt proven service models for selected international markets.
