SJ is one of 24 companies participating in the inaugural cohort of Enterprise Singapore’s (EnterpriseSG) Champions of AI programme, a national flagship initiative supporting leading Singapore-based companies in enterprise-wide transformation through AI.
Announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Trade and Industry (Trade) Gan Kim Yong at the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) 2026, the Champions of AI programme will see EnterpriseSG and relevant Government agencies working closely with the companies to identify business challenges and develop tailored long-term AI transformation roadmaps. Companies will also have access to curated AI expertise and solution providers to strengthen internal capabilities and support workforce upskilling.
For SJ, participation in the Champions of AI programme builds on its commitment to harness AI and digital intelligence to reshape the built environment and the way SJ works, and to deliver even greater outcomes for its clients and the community.
For example, SJ’s 24K platform brings together digital twins, building systems and operational data, using AI to identify patterns, anticipate risks and coordinate responses. Across Singapore’s public housing estates, 24K supports 17 Town Councils, connecting some 10,000 blocks, 26,800 lifts, 24,000 CCTV cameras and four million smart lights. Backed by SJ’s design, engineering and operational expertise, the platform enables more proactive operations, stronger asset performance and better everyday experiences.
SJ’s transformation is also about its people. It is redesigning how work gets done in an AI-led world, combining AI-enabled job redesign, role-based learning, leadership development and peer learning so that its people, skills and workflows evolve together. From everyday AI fluency to specialist expertise, SJ is equipping its people with the practical skills and confidence to use AI safely and effectively.
As Queen Bee for the Built Environment under NTUC’s BE Cluster, SJ is also extending capability-building across the wider ecosystem, helping enterprises, SMEs and professionals develop practical expertise in AI, digital, sustainability and leadership.
Through the Champions of AI programme, SJ will continue exploring how AI can become a stronger driver of productivity, innovation and growth, while contributing to the transformation of the wider built-environment sector.
