21 Moorfields named Best Corporate Workplace at the BCO Awards 2026

21 Moorfields, Deutsche Bank’s UK headquarters in the heart of the City of London, has been named Best Corporate Workplace at the BCO Awards 2026.

Completed in 2022, 21 Moorfields is a landmark commercial development built above Moorgate Station on one of London’s most constrained urban sites. Working alongside Landsec, Wilkinson Eyre, Sir Robert McAlpine and Mace, Robert Bird Group played a key role in unlocking the site’s potential through innovative engineering and close collaboration across the project team.

From the outset, the scheme demanded a carefully considered construction methodology to navigate the challenging ground conditions, existing infrastructure and the constraints of developing above a major transport interchange.

Innovation was integral to the solution, including pioneering ‘super piles’, installed deep into London’s geology to support the development and help unlock the potential of the site.

The BCO award celebrates the quality of the finished workplace, as well as the ingenuity, problem-solving and collaboration behind its delivery. The result is a high-performing and flexible corporate environment designed to meet the needs of a modern banking headquarters while responding sensitively to its City of London setting.
