Suzhou Industrial Park is the first government-to-government collaboration project between China and Singapore and one of China’s most successful models of international cooperation. The project introduced a comprehensive and systematic planning approach that integrated industrial development, urban growth, environmental management and infrastructure delivery into a unified framework.
Guided by the principle of industry-city integration, the master plan established a balanced urban structure where employment, housing, education, recreation and transportation evolved together. Over three decades, SIP has transformed from greenfield land into a globally recognised innovation and economic hub, setting a benchmark for sustainable urban development in China.
